Ski Town Classic 2010

Hey Captains,

Wanted to update you with some information for the Ski Town Classic this year. Because of the late notice this year we are trying a different approach to the tournament or maybe its an old approach. We will be providing an awesome venue(Park City), great fields(Willow Creek Park), field food on Saturday, and a TEAM tournament on Saturday and a HAT tournament on Sunday. To basically cover the cost of the field and field food, the tourney fee will be $175 per team. If everything holds true as they are right now, we will have 7 teams on Saturday.

Schedule

SATURDAY – We will be at Willow Creek Park……..this is DIFFERENT to the field from the past. There will be a map on tomorrow(Wednesday) morning on the slc ultimate website.

9:00am–6:00pm We will be having 6 rounds so we need to start on time. Games will be played to 11. Rounds will last 1:30 with a soft cap at 1:15. Add one to the highest score and play to that. Games will start one right after the other so it is important to stick with the soft cap.

6:00pm-8:30pm – This is a free concert at The Canyons Resort. Check out these two websites: Canyons and the band. This is not an exclusive party for the ultimate tournament but this should not be missed!!! The Canyons Resort is literaly 5mins driving or 10 minutes walking from the fields. With the tourney fee only being $175, we will not be providing dinner and a party. But this is a free concert at a great spot. You can bring food and booze up to the venue. Plan on joining the rest of Park City at this concert. It is a blast.

SUNDAY – at Willow Creek

HAT Tournament. We will have 4 teams that will be determined by skill level. We will have more details on Saturday. We will have two rounds(two hours per round) starting at 10am.

Trouble & Practice

Just a heads up we have Trouble in Vegas the first weekend of February, very soon (See the details under “Tournaments”). We will be organizing rides and places to stay soon. If you are going and haven’t paid the tournament fee do that ASAP! Also in order to be prepared for this tournament we are conditioning, see the practice page for details. Be aware this is a very large tournament with serious competition, so be in shape.

The “B” team had a mixed day with some struggles, loosing all their games except for a remarkable game against Utah, coming from behind to win. With some continued effort and trust amongst each other, they will shape up to be really strong. A very good day for for the “A” team though.

CoCoCha Champions!

Just so everyone knows the Destroying Angels won the CoCoCha tourney this weekend. We started out rough losing the first 2 games but we worked hard and came back to win the last two. Everyone showed vast improvements from beginning to end. Tournaments are where it’s at so do all you can to go, you’ll see your game improve quickly!

Information for CoCoCha in Denver this weekend (9/26) has been updated on the tournament page here. There is still plenty of space open for those who may decide to go last minute. Cars are leaving friday afternoon and we still would like one more driver! It’s going to be sweet!
